The 2023 Middlesbrough International Peace Walk takes place on Saturday, September 23 in partnership with the town’s Interfaith Network.
The Peace Walk - in celebration of the International Day of Peace – starts at 10am from the Trinity Centre in North Ormesby.
The route will take walkers to St Alphonsus’ Church, the Hindu Temple and the Southfield Road Mosque before calling at the International Centre on Abingdon Road for lunch served by served by the charity Investing in People and Culture.
The final leg of the circuit will see walkers visit the Methodist Asylum Project on Borough Road, the Salvation Army and then Victory Church before returning to North Ormesby.
Jolande Mace, Middlesbrough Council’s Strategic Cohesion and Migration Manager, said: “The International Peace walk is a special occasion to celebrate the annual International Day of Peace that takes place on September 21.
“It is a real celebration of peace and local collaboration.”
