New Water Utilities brokerage Splash Utilities is now settled into their new 8,000 sq ft premises in Royal Middlehaven House, Middlesbrough and with 30 staff already in place, the planned recruitment drive is now in full swing.
With various positions available across the firm, from team manager positions to businesses energy consultants, Splash are looking to create a further 70 new jobs in their Middlesbrough office.
Background industry knowledge is preferred but not essential. Full training and development will all be done in house.
Middlesbrough Council, along with several other support agencies, is delighted to be able to support the company with its recruitment plans.
The Council has helped co-ordinate the relevant agencies to ensure that Splash receives the relevant support to realise its recruitment plans quickly and ensure local residents receive every opportunity to take up the new positions.
Middlesbrough Jobcentre (Department of Work and Pensions) along with National Careers Service can provide support to residents who wish to apply for the positions and help prepare their CVs.
Middlesbrough College and Middlesbrough Community Learning will also provide assistance with new apprenticeship positions.
Cllr Charlie Rooney, Middlesbrough’s Deputy Mayor and Executive Member for City Centre Strategy, said: “We’ve been clear in our plans for Middlesbrough that these are the kind of jobs we want to be attracting to our city centre.
“Splash have really bought into being part of Middlesbrough and their Managing Director has spoken passionately about the benefits of being here as he sees it. We would urge anyone interested to read up on the jobs they have on offer.”
Managing Director of Splash Utilities Tony Anderson said: “We are extremely excited to see the next phase of our business plan roll out. Bringing in more highly driven, motivated staff members will only add to the brilliant team we already have in place.
“I can’t thank the supporting agencies enough for the help they have given us and hopefully through all of our efforts we will see Splash Utilities continue to grow.”
Mr Anderson previously revealed Middlesbrough was chosen over other cities, including Leeds, and said: “The network links are great, we’re just off the A66, the train station is next door, car parking – which will be really important when we are at full capacity, facilities for the staff. It feels fantastic and to be part of that is really exciting for us.”
