Magical Middlesbrough Christmas promises free fun for all the family this festive season.

The season of events include the much loved Christmas light switch on, the magical Middlesbrough parade and Orange Pip, as well as lots of new and exciting festivities. 

 

Festive Film - Saturday, November 27, 12pm to 6pm

Wrap up warm and join Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff in Centre Square for a magical festive film adventure. Hot chocolate, mulled wine and festive movie snacks will be available and a festive fairground will be open too.

 

Big Festive Day Out - Sunday, November 28, 11am to 6pm

Bring your friends and family to Middlesbrough for a festive spectacular featuring the magical Middlesbrough parade, Christmas lights switch on, a festive fairground, carol singers, street theatre and so much more.

New for this year is the grand unveiling of the festive window at House of Fraser (Corporation Road) and a meet and greet with The Grinch and Cindy-Lou, plus a festive screening of The Grinch.

 

Middlesbrough Christmas Market - Monday, November 29, from 10am daily

Festive fare for all to enjoy at the Middlesbrough Christmas Market. Featuring crafts, food and all the sweet treats, the stalls will be open until 6pm daily and 7.30pm on Thursdays for late night shopping.

 

Nightfall in Stewart Park - Thursday, December 2 - Sunday, December 5

As the evenings turn dark, Stewart Park will be filled with lights at the spectacular Nightfall Festival. A family-friendly trail of beautiful artworks, the festival also includes music, performance, storytelling and magical moments. Tickets are £7.50 per person, children under two go free (or £28 for a family ticket) and park and ride options are included at point of purchase.

 

Big Sing - Saturday, December 4, 10am to 3pm

From a very 80s Christmas to all your funky festive favourites, there's a Big Sing hour to suit everyone - and the good news is you can either come to one or come and sing all day long!

Big Sing Take Two - Saturday, December 11, 10am to 3pm

The Big Sing is back for a second round bringing you all your Christmas carol needs and more from local choirs and community performers. Look out for something special popping up on Linthorpe Road along the way - be sure to wrap up warm as they will be slightly on the icy side.

 

Late night Christmas shopping party - Thursday, December 9, 4.30pm to 7pm

Grab a mulled wine and enjoy live music around Middlesbrough town centre as you indulge in a spot of late-night shopping.

 

Magical Christmas Characters and Performances - Thursday, December 16, 4.30pm to 7pm

Enjoy an evening of street theatre and magical festive performances as you head into the town for late night shopping. Full line-up to be confirmed soon.

 

Orange Pip Christmas market - Saturday, December 18, 12pm to 7pm

Orange Pip is back for Christmas with another fabulous day of festive fun in Middlesbrough Town Hall. Enjoy tasty treats from all your favourite foodies, pick up some last minute gorgeous gifts from local artists and makers and enjoy some fantastic music from everyone's favourite karaoke kings: Rockaoke!
