This year’s Middlesbrough Mela once again proved why it remains one of the UK’s longest-running and most cherished multicultural festivals. Held in Albert Park on the weekend of 7th and 8th September, the event was filled with vibrant performances, delicious global cuisine, and activities for all ages, bringing together communities in celebration of diversity. 

Children’s social care in Middlesbrough is continuing to improve with the Council receiving separate positive feedback from the Department for Education and Ofsted. 

People around Middlesbrough will be able to check their own blood pressure at new self-serve kiosks and access portable test kits thanks to a new partnership with the NHS. 

A stretch of the A66 through Middlesbrough will be closed tonight (Tuesday, September 3) as the latest phase of a repair programme nears completion.
