SKT Welfare is an Islamic charity which has been supported by CVFM Radio since 2014.
This year is no different as CVFM Radio will be hosting two appeals to raise funds before the end of Ramadan.
These will be live on Tuesday 19th April and Friday 29th April from 6pm until Iftar, so make sure to tune in!
SKT Welfare is a group of compassionate, honest and hard-working humanitarians.
They believe that everyone - no matter their race, religion or gender - deserves a chance at a happy, fulfilling life.
SKT Welfare’s projects focus on emergency relief, food, water, healthcare, education, orphan care and seasonal aid, such as winter emergency response and Qurbani donations.
Over the past decade, SKT welfare has provided urgent aid and sustainable relief to millions of disadvantaged people across the globe, those affected by conflict, poverty and natural disasters.
SKT Welfare has a 100% donation policy. This means that every penny you donate is used in the delivery of humanitarian projects and directly related costs.
Indirect and administrative costs are covered by either direct donations themselves or by using Gift Aid.
Asif Hussain, CEO of SKT Welfare, says:
"We have been working inside communities facing huge challenges with regards to access to water, food supply, healthcare, education and war. We provide life-changing water solutions in Asia and Africa; provided food in poverty-stricken countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East; run orphan care programmes in Turkey and Shaam and provided life-saving healthcare in Shaam, Pakistan and Turkey. Our goal is to serve as many people in need as we can and seek to expand our presence and strength globally.
We believe charity should be simple and effective. We work with dedicated volunteers across the globe and implement our own projects so we keep our overhead costs low. Implementing directly means we have complete oversight of our work and transparency and accountability. Our 100% donation policy means every single penny we receive from our benevolent donors reaches those most in need."
