Popular Summer Workshops Return to the Town Hall

By Published July 17, 2018

MIDDLESBROUGH Town Hall is once again hosting its popular summer workshops this year.

To celebrate being back at the refurbished Town Hall following a two-year hiatus even more young people will have the chance to come and enjoy the amazing building this summer!

The Greatest Musicals from July 23–27 is for ages eight to 16, with participants learning songs, routines and extracts from the greatest Broadway and West End musicals. The week will end with a showcase performance of songs from musicals such as The Greatest Showman, Hairspray and Wicked.

MTH Young Stars from August 20–21 is for children aged four to six and is a wonderful chance for younger budding stars to learn new skills in performing arts, through fun dances, songs and scripts and includes the opportunity to step into the spotlight with a mini showcase on the second day.

Disney Classics from August 23–24 is for ages six to 12 and is two action-packed days filled with classic Disney songs, scenes and dances. Sing your way to the top of Rapunzel’s castle and dance until the clock strikes 12, or at least, home time!

Movie Musicals from August 28–29 is for ages seven to 13 to come along and step in time to the best music from your favourite movies! Sing your way over the rainbow and land in Oz with us on this super movie musical two-day extravaganza!

Middlesbrough Council Arts Development Officer David Tuffnell said: “There is pretty much something for every star in your life, no matter what their age or ability!”
