Richard Ashcroft to Play Middlesbrough Town Hall

By Published August 16, 2018

MIDDLESBROUGH Town Hall are delighted to announce that as part of a small series of intimate shows to preview his new album Richard Ashcroft will perform at the venue on Sunday, October 28, 2018.

Ashcroft is set to return with the October 19 release of his fifth solo studio album Natural Rebel.

Ashcroft’s latest album Natural Rebel will be released on his own RPA label on October 19 and will be his first released via BMG. The record represents the latest chapter in a hugely successful solo career for the former Verve frontman and Ivor Novello winner.

Featuring ten new songs, all of which were written by Ashcroft, Natural Rebel was produced by the singer-songwriter alongside Jon Kelly (Paul McCartney, Kate Bush) and Emre Ramazanoglu (Bobby Gillespie, Jarvis Cocker).

It is now available to pre-order on 180 gram vinyl, CD and cassette.

Ashcroft said: “With experience comes knowledge and for me this is my strongest set of songs to date. All my favourite sounds distilled into something that will hopefully give my fans lasting pleasure. It is for them. Music is power.”

Middlesbrough Town Hall Business Development Manage Rob Guest said: “We’ve had some great music nights following our reopening in May with the likes of James and Status Quo and this promises to be another unforgettable night.”

Pre-order 'Natural Rebel' from the Official Richard Ashcroft Store https://richardashcroft.tmstor.es/ to gain access to early-bird tickets. The ticket pre-sale begins 9am on Monday, August 20 2018.

  • Limited General sale tickets will be available, priced £42.50 plus booking fee from 9am on Wednesday, August 22 2018 from Middlesbrough Town Hall box office in person or online at www.middlesbroughtownhall.co.uk.  Maximum four tickets per person.
