Free Fun Day for Disabled Middlesbrough Youngsters

By Published August 30, 2018

A CELEBRATION of 10 years of local voluntary group Parents 4 Change will be marked with a free summer family fun day for children and young people with disabilities and their families.

The event is taking place at Middlesbrough Sports Village, on Alan Peacock Way, from 10am-4pm on Friday, August 31 and is aimed at those aged 0-25.

Those in attendance can enjoy a range of games, fun and non-competitive sports activities, food and drink, plus coaching from the MFC Foundation.

Among the activities are track and field activities, cycling, five-a-side football and soft play. There will also be information stalls and advice and support available.

Parents 4 Change offers support to disabled children and their families as well as promoting their welfare and causes.

The Sports Village event is supported by Middlesbrough Council through Mayor Dave Budd and Chief Executive Tony Parkinson.

A similar event was held last year in which more than 100 young people and their parents attended.
