Sleeping Beauty at Middlesbrough Theatre

DON’T get caught snoozing this Christmas as Middlesbrough Theatre announces everyone’s favourite fairy story Sleeping Beauty!

The show will star Anne Hegerty (The Governess from ITV’s The Chase) as Carabosse the Wicked Fairy and Philip Green (Britain’s Got Talent) as Muddles the Jester.

A Princess sleeps for a lifetime in her forgotten palace following an evil curse that has put her under a spell - but will true love’s kiss awaken Sleeping Beauty or will evil triumph over good in what promises to be another magical family adventure that everyone can enjoy?

There will be dazzling costumes, spellbinding special effects and lots of audience participation that will makethis one festive family treat that you will most definitely not want to miss…

Sleeping Beauty opens on Friday, December 6 2019 and runs until Sunday, January 5, 2020. Tickets are already selling fast this year. Don’t miss out!

Dementia-friendly relaxed performance – Thursday, January 2 2020 (2pm)

A dementia-friendly relaxed performance will enable people living with dementia and their carers to attend the theatre in a safe and comfortable environment, giving them the chance to get out and socialise.

The pantomime is open to everyone, but will be enhanced to suit the needs of people living with dementia: ​during the show low lights are left on inside the Theatre and it’s fine for members of the audience to express themselves. Wheelchair spaces are limited so please book in advance.
