A COMPASSIONATE nurse who once battled a chronic kidney disease while pursuing her nursing studies has been recognised with a national award. 

A CLINICIAN from University Hospitals Tees is believed to be the first in the world to perform 100 specialist surgeries that have helped drastically reduce chronic pain for patients – celebrating a milestone in spinal cord stimulation. 

Middlesbrough’s programme of summer camps and activities for children have been praised during a government minister’s visit. 

Charities across Cleveland are invited to bid for up to £15,000 to run projects to help vulnerable victims and under-represented groups.
