General and Council election results for Middlesbrough 05/07/2024

General Election and Council by-election results for Thursday, July 4, 2024 following counts at Middlesbrough Sports Village.

Winners in bold.

Middlesbrough & Thornaby East parliamentary constituency

Harris, Matthew Gareth                Green Party                      1,522

McDonald, Andy                        Labour                             16,238

Seargeant, Patrick John Miles      Reform                             7,046

Waqas, Mo                                 Liberal Democrat               1,037

 A total of 34,999 ballots were cast from an electorate of 75,123, representing a turn-out of 45.92%.

Andy McDonald is therefore elected Member of Parliament for Middlesbrough & Thornaby East with a majority of 9,192.

A total of 38,564 ballots were cast from an electorate of 70,331, representing a turn-out of 54.83%.

 

Luke Myer is therefore elected Member of Parliament for Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland with a majority of 214.
