Delights await crowds heading to one of the highlights of Middlesbrough’s cultural calendar this weekend.

As Bonfire Night approaches, Cleveland Fire Brigade is anticipating a busy period marked by increased callouts, deliberate fires, and alarming levels of violence against staff. To ensure everyone can enjoy the festivities safely, we urge our communities to celebrate responsibly and attend organised firework displays where they can.

Clear the calendar as Middlesbrough prepares to experience its very first Diwali festival on Saturday, November 6.

  • If you are interested in ideas, radio is way more pure than television. You’re not distracted by somebody’s nose or hair or posture. You can really see how someone thinks and penetrate to the essence of who that person is. – Terry Gross
