Reminder Issued Over Christmas and New Year Bins

RESIDENTS are being reminded of slight changes to refuse collections over the Christmas and new year period in Middlesbrough.

The changes only affect collections that would have taken place on December 25 and January 1 - all others will take place as normal.

Dates as follows:

Normal Collection Day

Revised Collection Day

Thursday 24 December

As Normal

Friday 25 December

Monday 28 December

Tuesday 29 December

As Normal

Wednesday 30 December

As Normal

Thursday 31 December

As Normal

Friday 1 January 2021

Monday 4 January 2021

Tuesday 5 January

As Normal

 

Councillor Dennis McCabe, Middlesbrough Council's Executive member for Environment, said: "As ever we do our very best to keep any disruption to a minimum, and I'm grateful to residents for their patience and understanding.

"Christmas Day and New Year's Day both fall on a Friday this year, so any collections due on those days will instead take place on the Monday immediately after."
