Dad's Army Radio Show Returns To Middlesbrough Theatre

By Published July 10, 2021

David Benson and Jack Lane are bringing back their hugely popular ‘Dad's Army Radio Show' on Thursday, July 15 to help Middlesbrough Theatre celebrate its long-awaited re-opening.

Audiences can expect more of Perry and Croft's classic BBC sitcom brought gloriously to life.

Three new episodes of the hugely popular television series - When You've Got To Go, My Brother and I and Never Too Old - are hilariously and lovingly enacted by the two master performers.

David and Jack transport the audience right back to Walmington-on-Sea, working from original radio scripts complete with sound effects, vintage music and all of Perry and Croft's beloved characters and catchphrases.

In line with the Government Guidelines, this event will be socially distanced. Maximum group bookings are of six people.

Audiences can be assured that every precaution is being taken to ensure their visit is safe and enjoyable.

The theatre is proud to have been awarded the Society of London Theatre/UK Theatre ‘See It Safely' kite mark in recognition of the safety measures in place.

To comply with government regulations, face masks must be worn at all times, except for those who are medically exempt.

Contact the Box Office to book tickets for more than two people on 01642 81 51 81.

  • I think good radio often uses the techniques of fiction: characters, scenes, a big urgent emotional question. And as in the best fiction, tone counts for a lot. – Ira Glass
