By Published November 20, 2021

She writes the sort of songs you want to pin the lyrics of on your bedroom wall, or on the office door, to remind you and everyone else who might read them what is important and true' Buzz Magazine

Singer and comedian Grace Petrie is set to captivate a Middlesbrough Town Hall audience when she plays the historic venue on Sunday, December 12.

Grace declares herself a socialist, feminist, lesbian, left-wing protest singer.

She is also well-known on the comedy circuit, regularly performing on tours with The Guilty Feminist.

The result is a show that is captivating from the first note, moving, funny, inspiring and a call to arms to make the world a better place one song at a time.

She's an effervescent charm-bomb of a performer, even alone with an acoustic guitar, as she was that night, singing about Theresa May. "We're getting stand-up and music," a woman next to me said.' The New Yorker

Grace has toured arenas with Frank Turner, supported comedians including Josie Long and Robin Ince, recorded a prestigious live session on BBC Radio 2's Jo Whiley show and has made frequent appearances at festivals including Latitude, Cambridge Folk Festival and Glastonbury.

Her previous bestselling album, Queer as Folk, was a Mojo magazine top 10 Folk Album of the Year in 2018, and this year she released the follow-up album, Connectivity, which reached number 2 on the Official Folk Albums Chart.
