The packed programme of events and attendees will gather at the Linthorpe Road and Corporation Road crossroads on Saturday, June 18 from 10am to 4pm.
Middlesbrough Sea Cadets TS Erimus, The Royal British Legion (Middlesbrough branch), 282 Movement Control Squadron, Parachute Regimental Association of Teesside, Durham Tees Valley Military Vehicle Trust and RAF North East lead the list of attendees, with more to be confirmed in the run-up to the event.
Families and visitors to the town can also enjoy entertainment on the stage from 11am.
Live music will be provided by local vintage singing trio, The Lipsticks and dancers from the Tower Ballroom will take a spin around the area – audience participation will be very welcome too.
Large outside games, free face painting and arts and crafts will also be available on the day.
Councillor Ron Arundale, Middlesbrough Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “I’m thrilled to see Armed Forces Day return to Middlesbrough this weekend after a long hiatus.
“We hope to grow the event each year and involve more and more of our serving and veteran armed force communities as we do.
