Everyone Active - the sports and leisure operator which manages the course on behalf of Middlesbrough Council - will be implementing strict procedures to ensure social distancing on and around the course, along with removing certain equipment to avoid the touching of surfaces. Full detail of these measures can be found here.
Bookings for golfers can bemade either online or via the Everyone Active app.
Paul Ayre, Everyone Active's Contract Manager, said: "We are looking forward to re-opening the course on 29 March, and delighted to welcome back our loyal golfers.
"We've been overwhelmed by the support we have received from customers and colleagues over the last 13 months, and we're grateful to be in a position to reopen our course.
"We continue to work hard to ensure our site is a Covid-safe environment and have carefully considered the strict measurements in accordance with the government guidance.
"As part of the reopening phase, it is incredibly important that we all remain vigilant and considerate of our fellow players."
Councillor Dorothy Davison, Middlesbrough Council's Executive member for Adult Social Care & Public Health, said: "We know how popular the Municipal Golf Centre is with so many people, and how much it's been missed.
"Sadly closure was unavoidable as part of the collective effort we've all made in the fight against this dreadful disease.
"I'm delighted that the Golf Centre is finally able to re-open, and we look forward to welcoming regulars and newcomers alike to enjoy a round in the great outdoors."
