An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson on Tuesday, October 5 celebrates the life and career of a man who has interviewed more than 2,000 of the most important cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Based around a conversation with his son Mike and showing highlights from the Parkinson archive, An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson is a unique opportunity to get an intimate, entertaining and informative look at his remarkable journey from a pit village in Yorkshire to the top of those famous stairs whilst reliving the best moments from a show that for many defined their Saturday night.

In this frank, funny and informative new show Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen shares heart-warming tales and honest anecdotes from her remarkable farming and family life in North Yorkshire on Sunday, October 24.
It's a life that has almost gone in today's modern world, one ruled by animals and the four seasons.
The audience will hear how Amanda grew up in Huddersfield, but was inspired by James Herriot's books to leave her town life behind and head to the countryside.
After working as a freelance dairy milker and alpaca shearer, she eventually settled down as a shepherdess at Ravenseat, one of the highest and most remote places in England, where she has raised a flock of 1,000 sheep and a family of nine children with husband Clive.

Among his many record-breaking achievements, he was the first to reach both Poles, the first to cross the Antarctic and Arctic Ocean, and the first to circumnavigate the world along its polar axis.
His current goal is to become the first person in the world to cross both polar ice caps and climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. Living Dangerously comes to Middlesbrough Town Hall on Monday, October 25.

Ex-special forces soldier Jason Fox - star of TV's SAS: Who Dares Wins, Inside The Real Narcos and author of The Number One Bestseller Battle Scars - brings to the Town Hall stage will bring to the stage Life at the Limit, the remarkable story of his daring exploits in a distinguished career as an elite operator in the UK Special Forces (SBS) on Saturday, February 19.
The evening ranges from gunfights, hostage rescues, daring escapes and heroic endeavours that defined Jason Fox's service, to a very different battle that awaited him at home.
