The latest new arrivals mean all the alley bins in North Ormesby – more than 220 – have now been replaced.
More than 500 new bins with steel lids have now been installed across the town since August, 2024.
A further 270 are scheduled to be rolled out to replace communal bins in the town’s Newport, Central and Park wards over the coming months.
Councillor Peter Gavigan, Middlesbrough Council’s Executive member for Environment & Sustainability, said: “Our officers have put a huge amount of work into cleaning up the town’s back alleys, and a big part of that is ensuring the communal bins are fit for purpose.
“By using the bins correctly and recycling as much as possible, people play their part in looking after their neighbourhood and the town as a whole.”
