Sign Language Courses at Two Middlesbrough Hubs

AN INTRODUCTION course for British Sign Language is coming to two Community Hubs in Middlesbrough.

The 11-week course run by Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) will take place at both Grove Hill and Easterside Community Hubs Wednesdays starting Wednesday, September 13.

The Grove Hill sessions will run from 10am-noon and the Easterside sessions from 12.30pm-2.30pm.

As well as being able to sign a basic conversation the course will provide skills to assist communication with people with autism, learning difficulties, speech difficulties and Down’s Syndrome.

The cost is £58 or free for people in receipt of a means tested benefit.
