Friends Call for Pavilion Pines Park

By Published September 27, 2019

ONE of Middlesbrough's newest parks is on the look-out for new friends…

Pavilion Pines was launched in June on the site of the former North Ormesby Pavilion.

The state-of-the-art landscaped Esk Street facility consists of swings, slides, climbing frames and other play equipment.

The popular family resource marked the culmination of three years' work by the £1 million North Ormesby Big Local project.

And now a proposed Friends of Pavilion Pines group will help to guide the park's future.

All are invited to a meeting at North Ormesby Community Hub on Tuesday, October 1 to find out how local people can get involved.

Big Local Development Officer Karen O'Hara said: "We are looking for people who have an interest in the park for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.

"They will support Pavilion Pines by applying for funding and becoming involved in the protection and promotion of the park to ensure that it continues to flourish in future years."

  • The Friends of Pavilion Park meeting takes place at North Ormesby Community in Derwent Street on Thursday, October 1 from 10am.
