Ambulance colleagues attended Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday events across the North East to pay their respects to serving members of the armed forces and veterans. 

North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) chief executive, Helen Ray, has formally announced her retirement from her post at the end of March 2025, after 42 years working in the NHS. 

Middlesbrough’s rich history and heritage have been celebrated with a trip to some of the town’s best-loved landmarks.

Middlesbrough will once again remember those who fought in conflicts around the globe and made the ultimate sacrifice.
