Families are encouraged to enjoy a picnic in the park while participating in a series of themed activities between 11am and 2pm.
Storyteller Chris Bostock will keep young minds spell-bound, alongside interactive family musical entertainment, face painting and balloon modelling, not to mention teddy bear-themed craft activities provided by the learning team at Dorman Museum.
And for every family attending, there'll be a free teddy bear to take away, subject to availability.
Meanwhile, this Saturday (Aug 7) Stewart Park plays host to a Family Picnic Big Latch On event in support of Global Breastfeeding Week from 11.30am to 1pm.

Also taking place at Stewart Park on Saturday are Mela storytelling and yoga activities, delivered by local practitioners Umar Butt and Urban Kaos to help promote the following day's family Mela event in Albert Park.
The family-focused park events follow an idea put forward by Longlands & Beechwood ward Councillor Joan McTigue.
Councillor McTigue said: "Albert Park and Stewart Park are some of the best public open spaces in the region, if not the country, and are rightly popular with families.
"We've all endured a year when such spaces have been denied to us for extended periods, so I thought it would be a great idea to bring people together to celebrate our gradual return to normality.
"I hope as many people as possible turn out to support these events, and help them become regular fixtures."
