Middlesbrough Council's Neighbourhood Safety team responded to complaints from members of the public about cars belonging to businesses crowding the roads in Innes Street, Snowdon Road and Stockton Street in Middlehaven.
The wider Middlehaven area is currently seeing tens of millions of pounds of investment through regenerations projects, including new homes and office space.
The vehicles were parking in contravention of the traffic regulation order, blocking pavements and access to businesses and obstructing the highway.

On a site visit officers noted around 27 ‘abandoned' or untaxed vehicles on the highway and a recovery vehicle was called in to remove them.
Two vehicles were taken away before local business owners quickly moved the remaining vehicles back onto their own private land.
