COVID infection rate increases across Middlesbrough

Published July 04, 2021 By

The current COVID infection rate has increased dramatically to 216 per 100,000.

Middlesbrough Council, the NHS, and CVFM Radio are encouraging people to remember the basics of social distancing and wearing face coverings when required.

Anyone with symptoms should book a test by calling 119 or by visiting www.nhs.uk/coronavirus.

Separately, regular free tests are available to all adults. The lateral flow tests can help to identify positive cases when people aren’t displaying symptoms. Details of how to access the tests are available via www.middlesbrough.gov.uk/lfd-test.

The below video has been produced in association with Streets Ahead in Gresham and the council’s locality working team. It features a range of people talking about why they had the vaccine. It's great to see how many people from all walks of life are being vaccinated.
