Only two matches went ahead in the North Riding Football League Premier Division, both were draws as three of the league's struggling sides held their ground.
Yarm & Eaglescliffe are unbeaten in four, but had to come from behind, after trailing, inside half an hour, against Grangetown Boys Club. Peter Snaith's penalty put the hosts ahead with Sam Clennets dismissed, for dissent, to make matters worse for Yarm. However, Sean Mackin again found the scoresheet to level, six minutes from time.
Staithes Athletic and Thornaby Dubliners played out a rollercoaster of a six-goal thriller. Charlie Raby put the Dubliners ahead, midway through the first half, only for Ryan Thompson to put Staithes on terms, nine minutes later. Gary Mitchell restored Thornaby's lead, just before half-time, only for an own goal to pull Athletic level, early in the second half. Simon Bowes then turned the game on its head, with the Villagers' third, on 70 minutes, but Thornaby battled back for a point, when Marcus Laing made it 3-3, a minute from time.
Guisborough United's trip to Billingham Town Reserves and Nunthorpe Athletic hosting BEADS were called off.
In the First Division, it's as you were with all the top four winning. Redcar Athletic Reserves remain top after a 7-0 thumping of Stokesley Armstrong Richardson. Adam Preston netted a hat-trick, James Ascoughs, Aaron Dale, Luke Hartnett and Dylan Barker also hit the target.
Bedale stay second after firing five past Lingdale Village. David Cooke opened the scoring for Dale inside eleven minutes, with Callum Fletcher doubling their advantage, ten minutes before half-time. Alex Johnson pulled one back for Village, seconds after the restart, but strikes from Dan Baxter, Matthew Goodwin and Ross Hodgson saw the hosts home.
New Marske Lakes United are third, five points further back, after thumping Middlesbrough & Teesside Sports Academy 10-0. Blue Addison hammered in five goals, with Ben Marshall helping himself to four and Jonathan Smithson's effort, making it double figures.
Fourth-placed Great Ayton edged past fifth-placed Stokesley Reserves. Ashley Woodier scored on eight minutes for Ayton. However, it looked as though John Cairns had rescued a point for the visitors, with ten minutes remaining, only for Woodier's second to prove decisive, a minute from time.
Whitby Fishermens enjoyed a comfortable passage to the Scarborough Junior Cup semi-finals, 5-0, against fellow Division One outfit Loftus Athletic. A Neil Hart brace and strikes from Jord Purvis, Dan Brown and an own goal saw the Lythe-based side progress.
In the Yorkshire Old Boys Shield, goals from Ryan Mackey (2), Ryan Todd and Matt Calvert weren't enough to save St Marys 1947 from a 6-4 defeat at Reckitts.
Redcar Newmarket saw off Howden, 6-0. Michael Dowse fired a first-half brace with Dan Puckrin also scoring before the interval. Ryan Hodgson score twice, after the restart, with Dowse also completing his treble.
Fishburn Park won a 6-5 thriller, at Morley Town, after extra-time. Three goals in the opening seven minutes, saw the Whitby side trail, with Jake Faichney's fifth-minute strike sandwiched. Morley made it three, midway through the first period, before Faichney quickly made it 3-2. The Leeds outfit made it 4-2, shortly after half-time, but Alex McGovern netted on 65 minutes and Mark Waterfield's goal, a minute from the end of the 90, forced extra-time. Nathan Storr put Fishburn ahead for the first time in the tie, eight minutes into extra-time, with the West Yorkshiremen levelling, but McGovern making sure, just before half-time in extra-time.
Stockton West End's scheduled clash, in the same competition, with Horsforth St Margarets was postponed.
Boro Rangers are the new leaders of the North Riding Football League Under 19 Division after a 6-1 victory at Billingham Synthonia, on Sunday. The prolific Isaac Walker fired a hat-trick, with James Mahoney, Ollie Henderson and Tom Bourne also on target for Rangers. Matthew Ashworth replied for Synners.
Thornaby are third, eight points behind Rangers, after a 3-1 victory over Hartlepool FC. Dominic Tiffany, Lewis Heap and Joe Pickett found the net for the hosts, while John Stephenson struck for Pools.
In fourth, on goal difference, lie Kader, who brushed aside hosts Hartlepool Pools Youth, 4-1. Jack White netted for the home side, with Lucas Brown hitting a brace, Adam Campbell and Nathan Farthing also scored for the Middlesbrough visitors.
The weather ensured Northallerton Town's home clash with Redcar Newmarket was postponed.
In the North Riding Under 19 Cup Quarter Finals, Guisborough Town edged an eleven-goal all-NRFL thriller with Richmond Town. Owen Armstrong and Luke Smithyman scored two each, with James Dunn and John Howard also notching for the Priorymen. Richmond's Simeon Cromarty hit a hat-trick, with Joe Shields and Thomas Godridge also on target in an entertaining clash.
Coulby Newham sadly slipped out of the competition, 5-1, at Marton. An own goal provided mere a consolation for Coulby.
